MUSIC PR & RADIO PLUGGERS.

Formed in Manchester (UK), we specialise in Print & online press across UK, Europe and USA, as well as national radio campaigns.

We started in the year 2000 after Dave Cooper decided to go it alone in the big bad world of music press. He earned his stripes working for Pomona - working on the likes of Nick Cave, Portishead & Paul Weller. After founding In House - he’s proud to have worked press for The Coral, Plaid, Arab Strap, Prefuse 73, Boom Bip, The Earlies, Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci, Faust, Okkervil River & many more well respected outfits and misfits.

A few years later (2004) Will Lawrence came along and placed his foot firmly in the door. Starting out stuffing records in envelopes he soon got the knack for this press malarkey and now runs the day to day at In House - heading up some standout campaigns for the likes of The Go! Team, Field Music, Rodriguez, Low, Fuck Buttons, Charles Bradley, The Weather Station, Lee Hazlewood, The Comet Is Coming, W. H. Lung, Julie Byrne et cetera et cetera. Taking particular joy in shining a light on forgotten gems on the Habibi Funk, Finders Keepers, Light in the Attic, Luaka Bop, Now-Again and Paradise Of Bachelors labels.

Starting off behind the counter of Piccadilly Records, Alex Hall got going at IHP playing music from the murkier end of the spectrum. Before settling in the North, he failed miserably being a journalist in London and hitchhiked across Russia, but now heads up the Online & Radio arms of In House towers, working with Space Afrika, Horace Andy, Horse Lords, Carla dal Forno and labels including, Warp, RVNG Intl, Optimo, Crammed Discs, On-U Sound, while running his own label on the side.

All these years later we’re proud to say we’ve worked with the likes of Warp, Stones Throw, Sub Pop, Light In The Attic, Memphis Industries, Daptone, Paradise of Bachelors, Merge, Mexican Summer & many many more like-minded souls. From warped electro-experiments to deep Afro grooves, screwed dream pop to solo guitar improvisations, country-flecked EDM to Nuggets worthy psych - you name it - we’ve probably worked on something adjacent.

The through-line is that we love the music.
